This course is a requirement for any registered health professional who wishes to be trained in taking cervical samples. PDI is a CCG (Public Health England) south/southwest) approved training provider, so you can be assured that the course is delivered to the required standard.
RCN Accredited until June 26th 2020 – Accreditation applies only to the educational content and not to any product
The two days are classroom based and cover the theoretical and practical components. This is followed by six months in house practical training under supervision and on going support. An external assessor visits on two occasions and the cost of the assessor’s visits is paid directly by the practice over the six month training period. Due to forthcoming changes to national standards, at this time we are unable to confirm what the cost of the assessor’s visits will be. We hope to be able to confirm this by the end of 2019 or as soon as they are announced.
Refreshments include tea/coffee/biscuits on arrival, mid morning and mid afternoon. It does not include lunch but you are welcome to bring a packed lunch. Parking is plentiful and free.
The two theoretical days involve other key speakers from the laboratory, colposcopy, learning disabilities teams and sexual health as well as a practical training session.
There are 7 spaces reserved, 13 spaces are still available.
