This course conforms to national standards.

This course is  a requirement for any registered health professional who wishes to be trained in taking cervical samples. PDI is a CCG approved training provider (Public Health England south and south west) , so you can be assured that the course is delivered to the required standard.

The two days are classroom based and cover the  theoretical and practical components. The two theoretical days involve other key speakers from the laboratory, colposcopy, learning disabilities teams  and sexual health as well as a practical training session. This is followed by six months in house practical training under supervision and on going support. An external assessor visits on two occasions and the cost of the assessor’s visits is included in the course fee. Samples are audited via close liaison with the local laboratory .

PDI is a guest member of the screening board meetings across Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Wessex, so  you can be assured that course information is current and relevant.

Teas/coffees/biscuits are provided but not lunch. there is a small cafeteria on site where hot and cold snacks can be ordered. Parking is plentiful and free.

RCN Accredited until June 17th 2019  – Accreditation applies only to the educational content and not to any product
